As any Inc family knows, Melrose Incarnation Baseball has been bringing families and our community together for generations. My two sons recently concluded their time in the league, and I had the privilege of coaching and serving on the Board of Directors alongside Brad Freeman for eight years. During that time, I saw firsthand Brad’s unwavering commitment to the league, our players, and their families.

In the spring of 2020, when youth sports across Massachusetts were cancelled or drastically restructured due to COVID, Brad worked tirelessly with the Board to create a safe and successful summer season. His deep understanding of state law and regulations was instrumental in allowing the Inc to offer baseball across all four divisions, helping to restore a sense of normalcy and community at a time when it was needed most.

Brad’s approach on the Board was always to listen and learn, then build consensus around practical solutions that put players and families first. I’m confident he will bring this same dedication, thoughtfulness, and integrity to the Melrose City Council.

I urge my fellow residents to join me in supporting Brad Freeman for Ward Four City Councilor.
